Searching for Columbia Phonograph? Columbia Phonographs have a long and complex history spanning many years. The Columbia Phonograph is more commonly know as a Columbia Graphophone and was made by the Columbia Phonograph Company under one of its many identities. Most Columbia machines which were sold as a Graphophone had some type of Columbia emblem on them. Columbia's were sold in may models, with a good example being the Columbia BI, which has an oak case with original finish and decals.The front decal indicates first patent in 1886 and last patented of 1903.
